Skorts have been described as "out-dated, uncomfortable, and impractical" as calls grow for them to no longer be part of a camogie player's matchday gear.
The 'Shorts Not Skorts' campaign found 82 percent of players prefer to wear shorts, and 75 percent say the skort doesn't reflect current society.
Shauna Connolly - Camogie Player with Thomas McCurtain's GAA Club in London - says older GAA traditions need to be done away with:
"They're outdated, they're uncomfortable," she said, adding they're a "distraction" from playing.
Shauna says there's a need to "future proof" the sport.
"We think we're at a point now in society, we need to move tradition forward," she said.
Shauna says that can be done be introducing shorts into the playing gear rules.
Concluding, the player said, "the demand is there."
