The DAA says an internal review is underway after a man boarded a flight without the right ID or boarding pass.
The 48-year-old managed to make it through security and onto a plane for Birmingham on Monday night.
But he was then removed and brought to court.
The DAA says it notes the speedy apprehension of the individual by airport police and says an interal review is under way
Transport Minister Eamon Ryan says it will be investigated.
"In any instance that someone gets through without showing a passport, without showing a boarding pass."
"Clearly that's of concern, and we'll be discussing with Dublin Airport how they can further tighten the arrangements so that doesn't happen."
