More drug outreach programmes and measures to tackle drug dealing hot spots, all form part of a new plan for Dublin's North Inner City.
The Local Community Safety Plan brings together a number of agencies in a bid to improve safety in the area.
It's as crime stats for minor assaults, robbery, drugs use and possession of a firearm are higher there than the national average.
The Local Community Safety Plan brings together gardaí, Tusla, the HSE, youth services and business groups to boost safety in the area.
Among the plans are audits of streets in the capital to improve lighting and cleanliness.
Dublin City Council also intends to review and renew commercial properties, with O'Connell St, Moore St, Talbot St and Capel St getting priority.
New programmes will be offered to young, repeat offenders and drug outreach programmes will be extended.
