Melissa Joan Hart has shared how she helped kindergarteners who were escaping a school shooter in Nashville earlier this week.
Three nine year-olds and three staff members lost their lives on Monday when a former student attacked the private Christian school.
Melissa explained on Instagram that her children are students at a school "right next to" the school where the attack took place. She and her husband were heading to a school conference and saw young children who had escaped from the school.

"We helped a class of Kindergartners across a busy highway. They were climbing out of the woods, they were trying to escape a shooter situation at their school. So we helped these tiny little kids cross the road and get their teachers over there."
"We helped a mom reunite with her children and I just ... I don't know what to say. Enough is enough. Just pray, pray for the families."
This is the second time Melissa has found her family being close to a school where a shooting took place. Her family moved from Connecticut to Tennessee as her children were previously attending a school near Sandy Hook.
"This is our second experience with a school shooting with our kids being in close proximity... Luckily we are all okay," she said.
