Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with the gag-related killing of a suspected gunman in Blanchardstown.
Tristian Sherry was stabbed multiple times in a bust restaurant on Main Street on Christmas Eve.
The 26 year-old entered the steakhouse with a machine gun just after 8pm and opened fire, injuring a man in his 40s.
He was then confronted, disarmed and stabbed multiple times.
Mr. Sherry was pronounced dead in hospital a short time later.
Gardaí say they have now arrested a man in connection with the incident.
He is being questioned at a Garda station in West Dublin where he can be held for up to 24 hours.
