A man has been arrested and a gun has been seized after an armed robbery in Limerick.
It was reported on Monday night at about 9.30pm.
At about 9.30 on Monday night a man entered an off license on the Corbally Road and threatened staff with a gun.
He fled the shop soon afterwards with cash.
A man in his 30s was later arrested during follow up searches in the Mary's Park area.
This operation was carried out by Gardai from Mayorstone Station and the Armed Response Unit, with help from Limerick City officers too.
A gun was seized during this operation, and the man was taken to Henry Street Garda Station for questioning.
