Two people have been killed in separate crashes in Clare and Limerick overnight.
A pedestrian, aged in her 70s, has died after being hit by a van on the N67 at Moyasta, between Kilkee and Kilrush in County Clare.
That crash happened at around 7 o'clock yesterday evening.
Elsewhere, the driver of a minibus was killed when it hit the Athlunkard Bridge on Corbally Road in Limerick.
The man, aged in his 30s, died shortly before 3 o'clock this morning and was the only person in the bus at the time of the crash.
Both bodies have been removed to University Hospital Limerick, where post-mortem exams will be carried out.
Gardaí are investigating both cases, and are appealing for any witnesses to either incident to come forward with information.
