Gardaí in Limerick have seized 44 scramblers and similar vehicles during 21 searches in Limerick.
Armed and local officers worked together during the operation yesterday and on Tuesday.
Five people were arrested as part of investigations into dangerous driving and other related issues.
O'Dea Welcomes Crackdown

He says he expects this to be "the start" of a crackdown in the bikes, which he says have caused "mayhem" around the city.
"It's well past time this should have been done," the Fianna Fáil rep said.
"The day of reckoning has arrived," he concluded.
