The fiancé of a man killed in a hit and run in Dublin is appealing for the driver of the car to ‘be brave’ and come forward.
28 year old Thiago Cortes was knocked off his bike on The Quays on Monday and died yesterday.
Thiago Cortes Was Due To Marry Teresa Dantas This Year
Thiago was working for Deliveroo when he was hit by a car on North Wall Quay.
However the driver fled the scene.
Gardai found the car nearby in the city centre and say no arrests have yet been made.
Thiago’s fiancé Teresa Dantas is urging those in the car to come forward.
"If you did it please come forward, be brave and do this."
"You were driving a car, you hit someone and you left him there to die."
"Just please say what you did, come forward."
"If you know something - and it wasn't you but you know something, if you have any information please call the Guards."
"No Tax, No Insurance, No NCT"
Finally the Irish Sun's Crime Editor says Gardaí are focusing their investigation on a Ford Focus believed to be blue or grey.
Stephen Breen says officers counted four people inside the car:
Gardaí are satisfied that the car was bought for just actually a hundred euro.
"It was a run-around car with no tax, no insurance and no NCT."
"...and Gardaí believe there were four individuals in the car."
"They're also satisfied they have identified the driver of the car who is believed to be a teenager."
Hundreds of people attended a vigil for Thiago yesterday evening at The Spire.
