Gardaí in Kildare are appealing for witnesses to a carjacking in Kildare this morning in which a woman was threatened with a knife.
The woman - who is in her 40s - was left badly shaken after the incident near the town of Kill.
It happened just before seven o'clock this morning when the woman was flagged down by a man as she approached a roundabout on Bothar Philip.
She stop and spoke to the pedestrian before he threatened her with a knife.
He made off in her car - a blue Hyundai Tucson - travelling in the direction of the N7 northbound.
The car is yet to be recovered and no arrests have been made yet.
Gardaí say the man was wearing a high-vis jacket and are asking anyone with information is being asked to come forward.
