The United States is to relax its rules for international travel from Europe
US officials say travel will reopen for fully vaccinated people in Europe from the beginning of November.
It has been limited to US citizens for the last 18 months due to the pandemic.
All foreign travellers will need to demonstrate proof of vaccination before boarding.
In addition, they will need proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within three days of the flight.
Those fully vaccinated will not need to quarantine.
Airlines will be required to collect contact tracing information from international travellers.
The news has been welcomed by airlines and travel agents, who are claiming to already facing a surge in demand.
