The Garda Commissioner has urged businesses and sport promoters who work with key members of the Kinahan crime cartel to consider their relationships.
It's after the US Department of the Treasury imposed sanctions on Christy Kinahan Snr, his two sons Daniel and Christopher Jnr and four associates.
US officials have also offered a five million dollar reward for information that would disrupt the operations of the cartel, as well as leading to the arrest of the three key members.
Daniel Kinahan has been working as an adviser for some of the worlds top boxing athletes in recent years.
Garda Commissioner Drew Harris says any organisation that has worked in this sphere are warned that 'what was implicit is now explicit'.
