The UK has dismissed claims from Russia that "warning shots" were fired at a Royal Navy destroyer.
Russia claims it was for straying into its waters in the Black Sea.
The Ministry of Defence says it was a "gunnery exercise" it knew about.
Adding to that, it says the H-M-S Defender was in Ukrainian territory.
Moscow says bombs were also dropped near the British ship by a warplane.
However the Ministry says it does not recognise those claims.
"Not Surprised" By Misinformation
Defence secretary Ben Wallace has been updating a group of MPs.
"Misinformation is something we've seen regularly," he says.
"We're not surprised by it, we plan for it."
He adds, "we take all the steps to make sure we aren't escalatory or provocative."
"However we will not shy away from upholding international law and our rights on the sea."
