Gardai are appealing for witnesses after two men died in separate motorbike crashes in Limerick last night.
The coroner has been notified following the two - unconnected - collisions, and investigations are getting underway this morning.
At about 20 to eight last night a man in his twenties suffered serious injuries when his motorbike left the road at O'Malley Park in Limerick's Southill.
He was treated at the scene and taken by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
At around the same time - at approximately half past seven - a man in his 50s was seriously injured when his motorbike hit a roundabout at Quinn's Cross, Mungret.
He was also pronounced dead shortly after arrival at University Hospital Limerick.
The coroner has been notified, and the scenes of both crashes have been preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, which is expected to be carried out later this morning.
In the meantime local traffic diversions remain in place.
