A man and a woman in their 60's have been killed in a crash in Cork this morning.
The crash, involving three vehicles, happened on the on the N20 Cork to Mallow Road at the Waterloo Junction at around 11am.
The man and a woman, both in their 60s, were pronounced dead at the scene after the car that they were passengers in collided with a truck.
The driver of the car and the third passenger were taken to Cork University Hospital with non life threatening injuries. The driver of the second car involved was also taken to Cork University Hospital non life threatening injuries while the driver of the truck was uninjured.
This stretch of road is currently closed and diversions are in place. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
