Bacteria containing faeces has been found in some iced drinks from coffee chain shops.
An investigation by showed samples of iced drinks from Costa Coffee, Starbucks and Caffe Nero contained varying levels of the bacteria.
Seven out of ten samples of Costa ice were found to be contaminated with bacteria found in faeces while in both Starbucks and Caffe Nero, three out of the ten samples contained the bacteria. The cleanliness of tables, trays, and high chairs at the coffee shops were also tested.
There's no word yet whether any branches in Ireland have been affected. More details of the investigation will be aired on the Watchdog programme on BBC One tonight at 8pm.
All three of the chains say they are looking into the issue.
