Theresa May has lost the vote on her Brexit deal in the House of Commons.
The vote was 432 to 202, to a no Brexit deal.
May has to come up with 'Plan B' to present to the House of Commons by Monday.
The British Labour party has tabled a motion of no confidence in the government, with leader Jeremy Corbyn calling tonight's vote a 'catastrophic defeat' for the government.
Jeremey Corben said;
She cannot seriously believe that after two years of failure, she is capable of negotiating a good deal for the people of this country.
Mrs May told MPs the government will allow for the confidence motion to be debated and voted on tomorrow.
The government will approach these meetings in a constructive spirit, but given the urgent need to make progress, we must focus on ideas that are genuinely negotiable and have sufficient support in this House. If these meetings yield such ideas, the government will then explore them with the European Union.
European Council President Donald Tusk took to Twitter, appearing to suggest the UK remaining in the EU is the only positive solution now
If a deal is impossible, and no one wants no deal, then who will finally have the courage to say what the only positive solution is?
