The best before date means that the product is still safe to eat, but may not be at its best.
The supermarket is taking the guidance date off nearly 70 of its products in an effort to reduce food waste.

This will see less food waste and avoid "perfectly edible food" from being thrown away.
It will include apples, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, lemons and other citrus fruits
