The good weather is set to continue this week, as temperatures are set to enter the 30s.
The mercury could even reach 31 degrees in parts of the country, edging close to the all-time record.
Kilkenny recorded 33 degrees way back in 1887!
Met Eireann says all areas will see sunny and warm conditions with a weather advisory in place until Friday.
"Temperatures are getting up to 29 or 30 degrees - and in some local areas might be a little higher," says Met Eireann forecaster Andrew Doran-Sherlock.
"There will be clouds around at times but overall quite nice.
"The winds will be relatively light too, so it will feel quite hot and humid and at night it will be mild and humid so it will be uncomfortable for people at times."
Yesterday was recorded as the hottest of the year so far, with temperatures of 29.5 degrees recorded in Athenry.
