Met Éireann has issued and now extended a status yellow weather warning for Limerick.
This comes as strong winds & gusts can be expected later today (Wednesday).
The national weather warning is in place from midday and has now been extended until 3am on Thursday.
Met Éireann stated;
“Southeast winds, later veering southerly will gust 90-110km/h today. Winds will peak this evening and tonight. Stronger winds are possible in west and southwest coastal areas,”
There is als a status yellow rainfall warning for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary and Waterford. This warning remains in place until 7pm Wednesday.
