74 attempts, and finally Sergio Garcia got a hold of one of the big 4 golf tournaments.
The Spaniard claimed the Masters, following an epic final round with playing partner Justin Rose.
The pair were deadlocked on 9 under par after the 18th hole, after both players missed make-able birdie putts.
It was the 15th, 16th and 17th holes though that really shook things up.
On the 15th, Garcia dragged himself back into contention after an eagle, with Rose getting a birdie.
Rose, however, pulled out another shot advantage on the 16th after getting another birdie, with Garcia missing his chance.
On the 17th, however, Garcia pulled out a birdie of his own to tie it up on 9-under going down the 18th.
On the play-off hole, Rose dragged his shot right into the trees, and faced a tough scramble which resulted in missing a putt for par.
Garcia at this stage had a reached the green in 2, and had a further 2 shots in hand.
He only needed one, however, as he sunk an excellent birdie putt to claim the green jacket.
The winning putt.

The golfing world then paid tribute to Garcia, as he claimed his first major on what would have been the 60th birthday of his idol Seve Ballesteros:

Now that his major drought is finally over, could this be the first of many for Sergio Garcia?
