Woman hit by a scrambler
A woman has been seriously injured after being hit by a scrambler bike in west Dublin.
The woman in her 20s was left with serious injuries after being struck by a bike near the Drimnagh Luas stop yesterday afternoon.
The hit and run happened on Davitt Road just before 2.00pm on Thursday.
Upon impact, the bike and the teenager went into the canal.
The driver managed to swim to the side of the canal, and also left the scene on another motorbike.
The woman, aged in her late 20s, was taken to St James's Hospital with serious injuries.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to contact them, or anyone in the area and may have dashcam footage of the incident.
