Suspicious package found at Limerick Post Depot
A suspicious package has been removed from an An Post Depot in Limerick by an Army bomb disposal team.
The parcel which was discovered just after 6 am this morning appears to be identical to a number of letters sent earlier this month to London and Glasgow.
The IRA claimed responsibility for those letter bombs.
Gardaí are continuing to liaise with the British Authorities on their investigation.
The package has now been sent for forensic and ballistic examination.
More than 100 people were evacuated from the An Post Depot on the Dock Road in Limerick following the discovery.
