An increase of over 3 percent on taxi fares comes into effect from today.
The change sees the initial standard charge rise 20cent, from €3.60 to €3.80 if you get into a taxi from 8am to 8pm.
The National Transport Authority approved the measures last year, which will also see the premium charge increasing to €4.20
