The HSE is opening an online portal to register for a vaccine in two weeks time.
People aged 65 to 69 will be the first to use the system.
It will go live the week of April the 19th.
Thirty vaccination centres will be in use throughout the month of April.
I see the booking portal being set up by the HSE to get your vaccine will be online in a few weeks
Hopefully it won't have one of those "Are you a robot ?" quizzes - sort of might defeat the purpose.— Will Leahy (@willleahy) April 7, 2021
Vaccine Portal - Sign Up & Confirm
Head of the HSE Paul Reid explains how the portal will work.
"People will register with their details and the biographical details on the portal."
Paul Reid says they'll then get a text or an email to confirm, and that's it, they have successfully registered.
He adds that the Health Service knows it may need to deal with exceptions, as some people may not have internet access.
