New Mungret Community College Building To Proceed To Tender - O'Dea
Willie O'Dea TD said:
"I have been informed by the Minister for Education that she has given approval for Mungret Community College to proceed to tender for a new 1000 pupil school which will also include 2 SEN classrooms.
I very much welcome this announcement by Minister Foley, which is a very exciting development for Mungret Community College, which has made huge progress under Principal Liam O'Mahoney, in the short few years since the schools' foundation."
Last year, Limerick & Clare Education and Training Board applied to Limerick City & County Council for planning permission on a 10 acre site at Dromdarrig, Mungret Co.Limerick for the construction of the new 1000 pupil school over three story levels with rooftop plant room and photovoltaic panels.
The new building will include Teaching Spaces, Social Spaces, Multi Purpose Hall, Special Education Needs Unit & ESB Substation.
Along with the development of site entrance the new proposed development will include a set down area, car parking for 90 spaces, covered bicycle stand, 6 X ballcourts and playing field.
