Menthol tobacco products including cigarettes will be banned from tomorrow.
The 4 year lead in time was to allow smokers time to switch to other products.
While the ban was brought in to make smoking less appealing to first timers.

Health Minister Simon Harris has welcomed the news:
“The COVID-19 pandemic has made it more important than ever to quit."
"On 11 May the World Health Organisation said that a review of studies by public health experts found that smokers are more likely to develop severe disease with COVID-19, compared to non-smokers."
