Jobs at Mastercard
Mastercard is creating 1,500 new jobs in Dublin.
The company is developing a new site in Leopardstown which will become its European Technology Hub.
Mastercard's Ken Moore made the official announcement that it plans to more than triple its workforce in Dublin over the next three to five years.
Construction on a campus-style office block is underway in Leopardstown to house all the new staff.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar made a speech at the announcement, stealing some inspiration from Mastercard's TV ads.
The company, which currently employs over 650 people here, is looking to hire people with software skills who want to work on cutting edge technology projects.
Ed McLaughlin is president of Mastercard operations and technology:
"Our Dublin Tech Hub is an innovation engine for our company across Europe and beyond."
"We're delighted to be expanding our technology footprint in the city."
"Our new campus will help us continue to attract the best and brightest tech talent."
We were thrilled to be joined by An Taoiseach to announce that we are growing Mastercard’s #DublinTechHub with 1500 new technologist roles.
