Maria Bailey
Fine Gael TD Maria Bailey has been sacked as Chairperson of the Oireachtas Housing Committee after the swing-gate controversy.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar announced the punishment this evening.
It is in response to the saga that unfolded after she tried to sue a Dublin hotel.
Leo Varadkar also said there's been inconsistencies her story to him and the media.
He said Ms Bailey also made numerous errors in judgement in her handling of the situation.
He's demoted her and taken away a job that comes with a €9,500 euro a year top up to a TDs salary.
