A man is in a critical condition after been shot in Briarswood in West Dublin this evening.
The man is his 20s was attacked shortly after 17:00 and is being treated by emergency services at the scene.
A car has been discovered on fire nearby.
Gardaí have sealed off both areas pending the arrival of crime scene examiners.
