Gardaí are investigating after a man was shot dead in West Dublin this afternoon.
It happened in the front garden of a house in the Foxdene Estate in Lucan - at around 14:00.
A number of shots were fired, and a man who is believed to be in his 40s was fatally injured.

The scene of the shooting is currently preserved pending an examination by Garda Crime Scene Examiners.
The body of the deceased remains at scene and investigations are ongoing.
