Sad news breaking this morning after a man in his late 60's has died following an apparent hit-and-run incident in Co Tipperary.
According to The Journal.ie ''The 68-year-old man was struck at about 10.20pm last night while walking on the Ballysloe-Glengoole Road near Poynestown.''
Gardaí have said that “all indications at this stage are that the deceased was struck by a vehicle which failed to stop”.
The man’s body remains at the scene this morning, while the road has been closed to facilitate the Gardaí.
