Crash in Co Offaly
Two people have died in a crash in Co Offaly.
A further three people have been taken to hospital with their injuries.
At 5pm on Monday evening, a car and an articulated truck collided at Scrubb, Killeigh, Tullamore.
Two of the people in the car were killed - the driver, who is a man in his thirties, and a five-year-old boy.
Two other passengers have been taken to hospital - a young girl and another male.
The girl has received life-threatening injuries and has been airlifted to Crumlin Children's Hospital in Dublin.
The male has been taken to Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore.
The male driver of the truck was also taken to the Midland Regional Hospital in Tullamore with minor injuries.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
