Attempted abduction
A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with an attempted abduction in north Dublin.
Firstly it happened in the Martin's Grove/Blackhorse Avenue area of Cabra at about 7.30 yesterday morning.
A woman in her 60s was approached by a man who tried to force her into the boot of a car.
But she managed to flee the scene and the suspect drove away towards Dublin city.
Gardaí have arrested a male (30) in relation to the assault and attempted abduction of a female yesterday in Dublin 7. The car drove away via Blackhorse Avenue, and may have turned left and driven onto the Navan Road.
It is also believed the suspect was wearing a white t-shirt and dark trousers.
Gardaí are also appealing to speak with witnesses.
They also want anyone with dash-cam footage of what happened to hand it in.
