A former youth Republic of Ireland footballer will be laid to rest in Limerick this week.
48 year old Alan Bourke died following an assault in the city on Good Friday.
He had been capped by his country at junior level and was a well respected sportsman across Munster.
His funeral will take place at St Mary's Church, Athlunkard Street, Limerick on Friday morning, with burial afterwards in Castlemungret cemetery.
Friends have been remembering Alan online since his death, calling him a "true gent" who "always understood and never judged".
