Limerick City is set to get another Lidl store as part of a significant new development in Ballysimon.
Planning applications have been lodged for the mixed-use site at Towlerton, including the supermarket, 38 residential apartments and an office space.
The store is expected to create 30 new jobs and will bring the total number of units owned by the giant in the city to 6 when completed.
Lidl also has a supermarket under construction on Dock Road which is due to open in April next year.
