Teachers being contacted by Leaving Cert students
Leaving Cert students might have had to have their temperatures taken and wear masks in school if the leaving cert went ahead.
Last week it was announced that the traditional exams were to be replaced by predictive grades.
The Teachers Union of Ireland is now calling for a a protocol to protect teachers from lobbying.
TUI to engage with Calculated Grades but system must be fair and equitable and professional integrity of teachers must be protected https://t.co/dtypRp6vaa pic.twitter.com/lLlR8gCt3Z

If the Leaving Cert went ahead no student would be allowed to attend school if they were symptomatic of living with someone who was.
They may have had to wear masks and have their temperatures taken.
Strict social distancing and time limits in exam halls would also have been applied.
The decision has been supported by the TUI and ASTI.
The TUI is calling on the Department of Education to protect them from students trying to influence their grades.
Teachers Unions are meeting with the Department of Education again today to discuss the new grading system.
Teachers will be issued with detailed guidelines and training on how to mark this year's exams.
