A Junior Minister says she's hopeful a decision on whether drive in movies are allowed under current restrictions will be clarified by the weekend.
It's after Gardaí told the operators of Retro Drive in Movies that they could not operate under current guidelines.
However it had only re-opened three weeks ago and the movies were permitted last year.
It's Not Clear Why Regulations Have Changed
Minister of State Josepha Madigan says the regulations were changed this year but it is not clear why that is the case.
"Even if it is a simple oversight, the financial implications are quite severe."
"Or it may have been more deliberate, but whatever the intention is, it needs to be rectified."
"I've brought this to the attention of Minister Donnelly today, I've spoken and been in touch with his office."
Finally, she says, "I've also emailed Minister Catherine Martin's Office last night as well."
