Leaving Cert kicks off with English Paper 1
Leaving Cert students are being advised to make sure they show up for their first written exam this morning.
With many opting for calculated grades this year there is the chance that some will make a last-minute decision to not do the written tests.
Most students have opted to accept an accredited grade and sit the exam.
More than 5,000 exam centres have been set up across the state to ensure that social distancing is maintained.
In this video message, Minister for Education @NormaFoleyTD1 wishes the Leaving Certificate class 2021 all the very best and thanks them for the courage, resilience and determination they have shown throughout the past year.
