Irish Water has just announced a nationwide hosepipe ban, as a drought continues across the country.
A hosepipe has been in place in the Greater Dublin Area since the start of this week - but will now be extended nationwide from Friday at 8am.
The ban forbids the use of water for non-essential activities like watering plants or filling a paddling pool.
The ban will remain in place until midnight on Tuesday 31st July.
