Two Irish men arrested in Japan
Two Irish men have allegedly been arrested in Japan in connection with drug possession.
Local media outlet Japan Today reports the men were arrested in Tokyo on Friday night.
The arrest came after one of the men reportedly fell unconscious in a karaoke bar.
According to the media outlet an employee at the bar called police between 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m
The call outlined that a man was, 'lying unconscious in a booth'.
Fuji TV reports that, when police arrived, they found the two suspects in possession of heroin.
The men told police they had traveled to the Japan for the recent Rugby World Cup match.
The Department of Foreign Affairs says it is aware of the case and is providing consular assistance.
