He was found in Wolfe Tone park
The homeless charity, Feed Our Homeless took to their Facebook page to announce the incident.
Gardaí were investigating the scene after coming across the man who was seriously injured in his tent. They added that this is the second similar incident in Wolfe Tone park over the past two weeks.
The man in his 50's was taken to the Mater Hospital and Gardaí are still investigating.
Feed The Homeless founder, Tony Walsh, has said he hopes the man makes a speedy recovery and thanked the team for their hard work.
He also said that he hopes this makes authorities take action to improve homeless services especially with winter coming.
