HMV has officially left Ireland as it confirms the closure of the hmv.ie website.

Although the music and film retailer's last five Irish stores were shut down in 2016 in a bid to continue as a digital outlet, it was announced on 7 April that the website would be ending too.
In a statement on the site, a spokesperson for the chain said: "We appreciate your custom over the years, however hmv.ie has now closed."
