Temperatures are set to stay in the low 20s.

Fans of the 'mini heatwave' will be happy to know that temperatures are expected to remain in the low 20s for the coming days, however, it's also going to rain in some places.

Here's what Met Éireann are forecasting for the next few days.

This morning will be dry in most areas. However, rain or showers will affect north Ulster and west Munster for a time.

It is expected that the rain will also develop in the south and spread northwards over much of Munster and Leinster by this evening.

Temperatures will be between 17 to 21 degrees.

Monday night is set to see outbreaks of rain in most areas and these may be heavy at times, especially in the south. Parts of north Ulster will stay dry but it's set to be cloudy and wet for much of the country.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with outbreaks of showery rain, which will be heaviest over the eastern half of the country. There's also a risk of heavy or possibly thundery downpours in parts of midlands, east and south. The best weather will be further west and northwest with highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees.

Friday will be mainly dry with sunny spells and just a few showers. Highest temperatures of 19 to 22 degrees .

As for Saturday, rain will spread eastwards across the country and it may be heavy at times. Highest temperatures of 20 to 23 degrees.

To complete this trend, Sunday is set to be warm and bright with sunshine and a few showers expected.

A mixed bag for the South West this week!
