Calli is a sweet staffie who was rescued a few years ago and was brought back to good health by her owners.
Within the last few weeks, her back legs have stopped working, and nobody knows why.
Her owners have set up a GoFundMe to pay for the vet bills, anything earned over their target will be donated to West Cork Animal Welfare Rescue, who saved Calli's life to begin with.
So Calli comes home for now 💜
After many tests and CT scans, and other veterinary specialists taking look at her case, we still have no further answers 😔
It is not a disc herniation, so not surgical for now.
She has not deteriorated or improved, so with some use of her front legs, but still little or no motor function in her hind end. She is being treated for the pain and we are keeping her comfortable for the weekend until we travel to UCD early next week for an MRI.
We can only hope this will give us an answer.I am absolutely humbled and overwhelmed at the support that has been shown for Calli. I couldn't have done any of this or what is to come without your help and I will be forever grateful 🙏
