The government's announced an extra €4 million euro in funding for local authorities to install extra bins and toilets.
Each council will get at least €50,000.
While Gardai will work with them to manage any issues with large crowds.
Dublin City Council is to receive €500,000.
However it has announced plans to install hundreds of extra toilets and bins already (more details here!)
Happy to announce further Outdoor Summer Assistance funding today for each of our Local Authorities to be used for the provision/maintenance of portaloos, bins, pedestrianisation or other necessary facilities needed by our City and County Councils over the summer. pic.twitter.com/kGf8DSY902

We Have To Facilitate People Meeting Up Safely
Local government minister Peter Burke hopes the new scheme will help to avoid the scenes in parts of the country last weekend:
"People in the main have been meeting up safely."
"We want to support them in doing that."
"There are going to be some challenges though."
"However our outdoor dining is opening shortly (Monday), and that will hopefully alleviate some of the pressure."
"But we have to do our very best to provide this key infrastructure and that's what I'm trying to do."
