Newstalk has confirmed they have suspended presenter George Hook.
Mr Hook has been the subject of public outcry, following comments he made on a court case in the UK involving the alleged rape of a 19 year old woman last Friday the 8th of September.
He issued a written apology on Saturday, followed by an on-air apology just last Monday.
In a statement, Newstalk said:
"Newstalk has confirmed that George Hook has been suspended from his duties at the station. The process regarding his comments last week is ongoing."
