Gardaí are continuing to investigate after a man died following a stabbing at a house in Tallaght in Dublin overnight.
The man in his 60s was assaulted during the incident at Carriglea View in Firhouse at 11.50pm.
He was pronounced dead shortly after midnight.
A man in his 30s has been arrested.
He's being detained at Tallaght Garda Station where he can be held for up to 24 hours.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who was in the area between 11.30pm and 12.30am to contact them.
