Gardaí are investigating a shooting that occurred at a house at Belcamp Cresent, Coolock last night, shortly before 12am.
A 45 year old man suffered an apparent gunshot wound to his leg when another male forced entry to his house and discharged a firearm.
He received medical assistance at the scene before being taken to Beaumont Hospital with non life threatening injuries. No other injuries have been reported.
The culprit was 5’7” in height, wearing a balaclava, a navy coloured hooded top, black gloves and black runners. He fled from the scene on foot to a waiting car.
Investigations are on-going and no arrests have been made.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to contact them at Coolock Garda Station.
