A Garda's been treated in hospital after being hit by a car that failed to stop at a checkpoint in County Longford.
It's after it was spotted driving erratically yesterday afternoon.
A stop was placed on the Ballinalee Road and as gardai approached the car, the car was driven away and struck the garda.
After striking a patrol car it then went on to Ardnaccassa where it hit a wall.
The driver of the car was taken to hospital for treatment , while the Garda has been released from hospital.
Witness Appeal After Garda Injury
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have any information on this to come forward.
They want to speak to anyone in particular who may have been in the local area at around 4pm to 4.30.
That's Ardnacassa, Ard Aoibhinn and Ballinalee Road areas of Longford Town.
It's also asking anyone who has video footage of any kind from those areas to contact Gardaí in Longford.
